Herman Miller for the Home Exhibits at IFFT 2006

Herman Miller Japan is pleased to announce our participation in the International Furniture Fair Tokyo 2006 (IFFT 2006), under the Fair’s theme of Life & Living Design 2006.
Although this year fair marks Herman Miller Japan's first exhibition at the event, we share a long and illustrious history with the main sponsor, the International Development Association of the Furniture Industry of Japan (IDAFIJ).
| In 1957 George Nelson, then Director of Design at Herman Miller, was invited to speak at the association's first design conference as an instructor. Half a century later, much of our exhibition space at IFFT 2006 is dedicated to the designs of George Nelson, who contributed greatly to making the IDAFIJ the influential body it is today. The Nelson Swag Leg Group, exhibited in Japan for the first time, as well as Nelson works featured include the Nelson Cube Group, the Nelson Desk and the Nelson Miniature Chest. |

IFFT 2006 will serve as a showcase for the interior styles of the Herman Miller for the Home collection. Under the theme of “life and work balance for thinking people,” Herman Miller will exhibit three high-performance work chairs, the Aeron, Mirra and Celle Chairs; the Foray Chair by Geiger, a subsidiary of Herman Miller; and concept items such as the Leaf Light.
